For the last couple of months, I have been experimenting with embroidering designs, by machine, on balsa wood. What was interesting to me was the reaction of others when I displayed my finished work.
At first, some thought I had embroidered my design on wood grain fabric and pasted it onto the board. Others thought I might have made the design on water soluble stabilizer, rinsed out the stabilizer and glued the design onto the wood. The “light bulb” moment came when my friends and customers touched the designs and realized I had actually stitched directly onto the wood.

When we see a new embroidery machine released, we hold our breath for just a minute to see what the manufacturer will include in the purchase price of the machine. Janome never disappoints. I have already mentioned the twenty (20) feet included with the new 12000. Today I would like to mention the new embroidery hoops that are included with the 12000.
I flew home yesterday, returning from Orlando where I attended Janome Institute. I’m very tired today, but am back to work at
